One of the important secrets of the RV lifestyle is joining RV clubs. Not only does this open you up to a world of new friendships, membership in RV clubs means discounts on RV expenses that could save you hundreds or even thousands of dollars. Prices and services may vary so check their websites for the latest info. Here are some of the main ones:
EXPLORER RV CLUB OF CANADA
Well, this is the main RV club for Canadians. Membership gets you discounts on camp sites, road travel, insurance, roadside assistance and a free subscription to their magazine. Membership is about $47 Canadian or $60 US.
ESCAPEES AND XSCAPERS
With Escapees (and their sub-club Xscapers) you can get campground discounts between 15% to 50%! They open up access to lease lots, deeded lots and co-op parks. They provide domicile services and mail forwarding services. They issue a magazine on RVing. Membership for Canadians is approximately $50 per year and approximately $40 for Americans.
GOOD SAM CLUB
This membership gets you discounts at RV parks, campgrounds and even fuel discounts at Flying J gas stations! They also offer roadside assistance, trip planning and more.
FMCA
FMCA membership gets you a host of benefits including mail forwarding service, travel insurance, roadside assistance, and discounts on fuel, cell phone plans and more.
AIM CLUB
This club is for Motorhome RVers. Membership will get you discounts on roadside assistance, ambulance assistance, and even vehicle purchases.
PASSPORT AMERICA
Membership gets you 50% discounts at over 1,800 campgrounds (That's impressive). Membership is about $44 per year (US funds).
THOUSAND TRAILS
Visit their website. This membership will get you free camping even for extended stays but it is more expensive than the others I have mentioned. Membership is about $575 (US funds).
KOA
A membership gets you 10% discounts on almost 500 campsites.
